Another AWESOME hike with Forestgnome!!! We did this semi-loop clockwise: up Great Brook Trail, west on RedRock Trail to Speckled Mtn, back east all the way for a descent using Miles Notch Trail.
Very interesting viewpoints along the way, especially the bluff area on Red Rock Trail. Found the Miles Notch Trail very tedious, especially the uphill at the end of the day!!!! Didn't make it out before the trail closures for the hurricane.
NOTE: trailhead was NOT posted, but, luckily we parked outside the gate. We saw NOONE all day, even on Speckled Mountain, unless you count grouse and owls. |
