Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Bemis Stream running low. Piece of cake
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: AT in horrible shape west of Route 17 due to roadwork and blasting. There is a detour and rough trail cut to divert hikers from the roadwork. VERY CONFUSING here, especially for those hiking southbound.

Comments
Comments: I urge caution to all using the stretch of the AT between Route 17 and the Bemis Track. It is poorly marked, stretches are obliterated, blazes are faded and there may still be blasting going on for the new overlook parking area on Route 17. There are also many herd paths in this area. Make sure that you look for AT blazes frequently. Also note that the AT junction is poorly marked on route 17. Found a couple who were having trouble finding it.
