Well we headed up the new uphill travel route and it was amazing! We fully enjoyed it. I had my alpine gear on my back so the last .25 of uphill travel trail killed me while I had to bend down the whole way til out of the trees. I stashed my skis and the other two we were meeting caught up. There were barely a breath of wind on the summit it was amazing. We made it to the peak and headed down and over to the horn. There was a decent pack and the weather was still chill but sunny. Thankfully the couple that passed us made the only 1 mistake and got stuck in a spruce trap and went back the correct way. We made it to the horn and it was still sunny and barely any wind. I chiseled the ice off the sign, we took photos and headed back the way we came. I then strapped my skies on and skied down and met everyone for a beer after I skied some runs. |
