There is a minor stretch above first crossing where the trail is not really visible, as it crosses a bog. You either have to trudge through it or bushwhack around it. The rest of the trail is in great shape. |

DEET essential for mosquitoes. Some black flies toward end of hike. |

Took currently barricaded log road east of Bemis Stream with original intention to bushwhack up Bemis Mountain. Turned around when the bushwhack turned into slash from extensive logging activity. Decided to turn around and then proceed on to Bemis Stream Trail and do a loop. |
