Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Alt Little Jackson Trail is "generally" marked by cairns and red blazes from a faded sign east of the summit to a northern summit spur with weather measuring instrumentation. Most of that stretch is above treeline, with one descent adjacent to a beautiful birch glade. From the spur to the summit, the trail descends into the trees and disappears in blowdowns and a swamp (at least it did for me) :)
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Summit bugs of various sizes and shapes buzzing all around, but did not bite me. Minimal black flies later in the morning

Comments
Comments: Just a gorgeous day to hike this spectacular mountain. Little Jackson Trail is an easy hike. I strongly discourage people from using the "Alt" Jackson Trail unless you are prepared to bushwhack and have navigation aids.
