Comments: First car in lot around 830. Quick 3 hour hike up and down Old Speck. I've taken Eye Brow every time for the views and fun, but decided against it today. Didn't wanna exhaust myself in the cold. Trail is packed down pretty good for the first 1-2 miles, then some serious drifts (maybe knee to waist high) till the top. Drifts were worse in the small growth areas, where more wind could get through, and not as bad with the thicker trees. Didn't climb the tower with the wind, it was banging around pretty good up there. No views up top, socked in. Whenever I hike Old Speck, I also go over to the ledges heading north on the AT towards Speck pond, some good views there, but decided against it. Face was getting pretty cold, balaclava and neck gaiter froze up pretty good. Snowshoes are an absolute must. Two other cars in lot when I got back down around 1145. Must've been across the street checking out Table Rock.
