| Dog-Related Notes: |
Aggressive German Shepard come at me growling off a leash but I stopped it very quickly with my hiking poles in it’s face.... it turned around and ran back to the owner around the corner. I told the owner that his dog came close to eating my poles.... I’m very sorry sir... it’s slippery here.... according to park rules, dogs are allowed on a leash... it’s unfortunate situations like this need to happen.... |

Besides the little hiccup with the aggressive German Shepard it was beautiful day to hike in Acadia National Park. Light traction needed about the last 0.3 to the summit. Kind of weird being the only one at the summit but I’ll take it. A lot of people hiked up for sunrise but they all comedown on my way up. 1st one to summit... visibility for ever up the coast line. Saw some fairly big mountains looking north, not sure what they was... Katahdin possibly? Passed at least 50 people on the way down on their way up. Eagle crag is steep... be careful around cliff. Great hike. ✌🻠|
