| Comments: |
A 3 mile road walk greeted us with the washout at the beginning of Rapid Stream Rd. The actual trail starts out snow free but with some running water and minor ice, all of which is easily avoidable. Upon passing the campsite and where the trail starts climbing more steadily there are quite a few patches of hardened snow (?) that is a bit slick. There was always enough rocks and roots to step on to make things safe. After the tree line most of the climb to the summit was over mostly bare talus. Bare boots (no traction) from bottom to top to bottom. |
