Took ferry over to dock on Kineo ( $13 ) covers out & back. Kineo is such a gem. Beautiful walk along carriage trail to the Indian trail. Great views climbing up the steep Indian trail with many, many views. Be careful near cliffs.... sheer drop offs.... foliage was still there with magnificent views of Moosehead on the way up. Fire tower at the top which is very tall, gets you above the trees and gives you 360 views.... Wow! Words can’t even come close.... so worth the drive, the ferry, and the climb. Took Indian trail back down for the views and strolled along the carriage road back to the dock. Back on mainland at 3:00pm. I think the ferry is still operating until the 13th.... great day ✌🻠|
