Comments
Comments: Another loop - along Jordan Pond up to Penobscot and over to Sargent dropping down the other side linking trails and carriage roads to Cedar Sawmp and back around to Jordan Pond. The weather kept the entire island in the fog. Strong winds and low visibility on the summits - on ridge stretch between Penobscot and Sargent visibility was only about 10 yards.

Weather did make some trails quite wet. Rocks wet heading up Deer Brook but good footing, ridges were actually fairly dry between summits. Wet rocks/ledges/roots heading down Gradient and Maple Spring trails made a few spots a bit slick. Patches of mud along Gradient and Maple Spring as well. These trails typically have a few muddy spots through summer. Fog apparently kept people off the trails today - met only a handful all day.
