Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: **NOTE** the main parking area right next to the auto-road is blocked off. York has closed the area. You can still access the trails and mountain from the Berwick side though. I was the only car at the Wintergreen Trail at 5:30pm and when I left at 7:45pm. Only roadside parking here. Only room for a car or two. The parking lot where Cedar Trail begins was mostly full with 4-5 cars in it. The road on the York side had some very large potholes that are unavoidable because there are so many. You have been warned!!

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Wintergreen Trail, Summit Staircase, and Blueberry Bluff Trail were all blazed in red as they are hiking only trails. All other trails were blazed in white except Northface Trail and Big A which were not blazed. The blaze corresponds to the trails use (hiking only, universally accessible, etc.) as color coded on the Agamenticus map found at the link below. The trails are blazed often enough but not terribly frequently. Almost all are very obvious to follow as they are frequently travelled and wide in general. Wintergreen could be a little obscure actually in a rocky section but just pay attention to the blaze and footway. There were a couple small-medium limbs down on the trail, maybe one of them that would require two people to lift but no real blowdowns.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: None seen but should be fine trails for dogs.
Bugs
Bugs: None
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None.

Comments
Comments: I almost didn’t get out due to time but I was very glad I did. Felt warmer than I thought it would. Sunny enough, not too windy, a beautiful sunset and descent visibility (couldn’t make out Washingon and Carter Notch today but could make out southern Whites) and I was able to finish redlining all the trails in the MMG that got to Agamenticus. I still have some for Second and Third Hill though. 47F when I started just pst 5:30pm and I think it was just below 40 when I left around 7:45pm.

My crazy route: Wintergreen —> Ring Trail to Vultures View —> Ring back to Fisher —> Fisher to summit —> part of Big A (down to lower jct with Summit Staircase —> Summit Staircase to upper jct with Big A then down to Hairpin Trail —> Hairpin out to road then back to Ring —> Ring all the way down to Mountain Road (including spurs out to road) —> back up to Ring Loop jct, continued on other end of loop (crosses road) —> Ring Trail out to Wintergreen and back to Blueberry Bluff —> Blueberry Bluff —> Big A to Vultures View —> herd path to summit and Northface Trail —> missing portion of Big A (roughly from summit to Fisher —> Fisher —> Ring —> Wintergreen —> car

Note that Gaia shows Blueberry Bluff Trail as going much further to the summit than it actually does. It ends on Big A Trail where Gaia shows it bearing right. Gaia also screws up Vultures View which ends at Ring Trail. In addition to the summit, there were nice views at the overlook along Ring Trail between Wintergreen and Blueberry Bluff.

The trails had dried pretty nicely. The only bad mud was some spots on Ring Trail that had mountain bike tracks through them that hadn’t dried. Everything else was pretty dried which was great.
