No one had been in to South Crocker since at least last snow a couple of weeks ago. We intended to go to Redington, but with the 2 mile road walk and unbroken trail, we just summited South Crocker. At summit, we met a gentleman who had broken trail the 5 miles from Route 27 and was headed to Redington. On the way down South Crocker, we meet two more hikers coming up and planning to get all three peaks. The AT is now broken out from Caribou Valley Road to Route 27 and the Redington bushwack will also be well broken out. The track from CVR to South Crocker us a thing of beauty. |
