Red and Orange trail up / Yellow trail down
We almost had spring conditions on Feb. 2nd! The trails are packed and easy to hike with microspikes. There is some ice on the summit ledges that makes spikes necessary. We had great views and beautiful sunshine all the day.
I strongly recommand doing the loop we did because the ledges on the yellow trail are really worth it. On the way don't we should have taken the blue trail (which seems new) instead of going down to the road via the yellow trail to avoid walking in a snowmobile trail (there wasn't really enough snow for snowmobiles so no trafic that day). We didn't find the short connector trail (red trail) on the way down so we ended up at the road and walked back to the parking lot. |
