Comments
Comments: Previous report of hiking directions are pretty accurate. The distance to the summit from the parking area is 3.5 miles. The herd path to the summit is .9 miles and easy to follow. The access road to the parking lot is in good shape having been recently regraded. We encountered a huge brush hog tractor with a long arm that was cutting branches some 30 feet off the ground. Had to wait until the operator moved his large vehicle off the road before we could pass. Had to look around a bit for the register which was brown and resembled a bird house. It is located on the left shortly before you reach the metal tower.
