Comments
Comments: Made the trip up and down to the pond. There is still a ton up snow up high towards and is still winter hiking. The trail to the pond was interesting and very slow going as no one had been down yet, with a mix of dry rock, undermined snow, some spruce traps, etc . Snowshoes were a must but is probably navigable now that we and two others have used the trail. A beautiful day, saw a few others coming down as we were going up that were woefully unprepared and looked pretty miserable. The monorail is still in ok shape at the upper elevations. We met two who came up the eyebrow trail and said it was in good shape coming up but would not descend it. A challenging day with conditions but glad we made the trip.
