The small parking area off Hope St. near the Rockport/Hope line was frozen over, but I could easily drive in and out. |

The only real crossing had a footbridge over it, but there was an area that looked like it flooded and then froze solid, thus creating a crossing of sorts. |

The lower and upper parts of trail were mostly covered with frozen granular snow, but the steeper middle section had a lot of ice, which at times was tricky to cross and even bypass. I got by with light traction, but crampons wouldn't be overkill on some of these areas. Nice hike with excellent weather otherwise, and I didn't see anyone else, which was weird given that there was very little wind and mostly sunny skies. |
