Comments: Bushwhack off a logging road near Barnjum

Broke trail all the way to the unnamed 3900 foot peak southeast of Abraham. Eyed up th every deep col in between, the time, and considered the terrible shallow snow conditions. In interest of safety, decided to call it off. Next time.

The snow is deep enough to cover up details on the ground like stones and gaps, but not deep enough to pad your snowshoes from grinding. Up near the summit, the snow in between the boulders is soft and unconsolidated. The boulders are covered with hard ice.
