Went up the loop trail.... wow! Steep, really steep. Fat man’s misery was fun, had to take off my pack to get thru. Had west peak to myself for 45 minutes. Colors are at peak, truly amazing. Saw a peregrine falcon soaring around. From west peak to the pond I only saw about 10 people. First time for me and I see why this mountain & pond attracts people. Took brook trail down and that’s when I ran into the crowds. About 1.4 road walk back to the loop trail parking. I will be back to do Little Jackson Mountain. |
