Stayed at kidney pond cabins which gave me a 6:00am start. Katahdin stream falls was flowing very well, awesome..... above tree line hiking very entertaining with scrambling, 31mph winds, 36 degrees with a wind chill of 24. Saw some people in shorts. Not me.... shell, balaclava, gloves.... I was comfortable. In the clouds at the summit, didn’t stay long... overcrowded as usual, only downfall hiking katahdin. Ducked under the cloud cover around 4000 ft. Which made views breathtaking on the way down. Easier going down than I thought. Abol trail is the only trail I haven’t taken to the summit yet. Next year ðŸ‘🻠|
