Pretty much a dry trail, with a little bit of snow up near the pond. Bottom portion is literally a brook, so wear waterproof shoes. Far better experience than last week here, where I postholed to my thighs from Little Jackson Trail to the pond - I was soaked when I reached the pond. I stayed away from Jackson because I could see snow in the col, and I wanted no part of it today. Had the summit to myself, it was really nice. |
