4 hikers with the Maine Appalachian Trail Land Trust (MATLT) http://matlt.org/ attempted to reach the summit. The trail was not broken out so we took turns breaking through 2 feet of fresh power from last week's storm. It took us almost 4 hours to go 2 miles. Needless to say this was exhausting so decided not to summit. Still got high enough for views. Trip report pending on the MATLT site. No other hikers, just us. |
