Comments
Comments: Note: Many trails have reverted to their original names so older maps may not carry the new names - conversely some of the older trail signs don't bear the names carried on the newer maps. A great day in Acadia - the foliage was spectacular and the skies crystal clear. Foliage is not at peak yet so it'll be there for another week or so. Trails were in great shape as always in Acadia. In heading up the Pemetic Northwest Ridge Trail - at the top of the boulder field about 1/3 the way up there is a tricky right turn that isn't well blazed. People have worn paths straight up or turning left at this point. The actual trail turns right at the top of the boulder field and runs along a rock wall - you head along the wall a bit to pick up the trail cairns and blazes.
