excellent, incredible stone stairway to upper ledges-just small branch debrit, easily cleared |

blue Adidas jacket on S Ridge trail--brought down, then lost near south end of tarn pond |

excellent clear day, 30ish, light S wind @ summit. fine views all around to horizon. wonderful pink granite terrain and low pine subarctic foliage.
Nota bene: easily avoidable ice and snow until open slanted ledges, where large areas of ice and wet rock made footing difficult, even with microspikes-would have used crampons if in pack. summit of Dor wide open around cairn. started to Cadillac, but ice on trail made the ravine crossing hazardous, turned back to S ridge descent |
