On Sunday we skied and hiked the Williams Pond Rd. to Nesowadnehunk pulling heavy sleds, then the Tote Road to Slide Dam where we tent camped. Used the covered picnic table for cooking. Nearby stream was still open for handy water supply.
On Monday, we broke trail up the Marston Trail starting at 5am using microspikes most of the way to North Brother. Cold and windy but good views. Headed to Fort and were generally able to follow the herd path, pushing through trees covered in fresh snow. Back at the Brothers Col we decided to head to South Brother and Coe, grateful to find the trail broken out by Zachary and crew. Thank you! (and congrats on #100). South Brother summit very blustery. Needed headlamps after we summited Coe, and long walk back out in the dark. Epic day. A good feeling to make to Fort after running out of time last Feb. Thanks to Heather!!
On Tuesday, we hiked out in a snowstorm the whole way, slow going, car buried in over a foot of snow, but Telos Road plowed.
