Hiked in BSP with Slow and Steady, Alex, and Pete.
We entered the park on the 27th. We were pleased to have about four inches of new, unpacked powder as it allowed us to take sleds.
As a group of five, we headed to the Marston tr early on the 28th. The trail had ½ foot or so of snow to start, which had been broken by two hikers w/o snowshoes. Most of our group used the shoes, which were sometimes challenging due to exposed rocks. Higher up, snow depths increased, but trail breaking was never bad. At the brothers col., Slow and Steady went for N. bro, while three of us headed for s. bro and Coe. It was a very cold and windy.
On the 29th, we departed the park, as significant snow accumulated.
This trip completed my Winter New England 100 highest. Thanks Slow and Steady, Alex, and Pete for a great trip.
