 | Comments: |
It was a steady hike with a steady altitude gain. Once in awhile, just before the water crossings (particularly before Silver Cascade) the altitude suddenly drops and then again it climbs on the other side. Almost 2/3 of the trail is covered by ice and need extra precaution before the summit, while climbing those steep rocks and the way back too. Ice makes it little harder. But it was doable. Since most of the trail is below the tree lines, wind wasn't an issue. At the summit it was a little breezy, and crowded. Good to see a lot of young kids along the trail and on top of the summit. |
