Parking for a few cars just off Success Pond Road. The road itself is in its usual state of bumpiness, 20mph wasn't really possible. |

 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Easy hops. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All trails in excellent shape, no blowdowns to report. Appears to be recent rock work and trail maintenance on upper Carlo Col Trail. |

 | Bugs: |
Not many around on the ascent, windy enough on the ridge to keep them at bay, and somewhat bothersome for the descent. |

A red and green Rasta Domokun hat sitting on the Mahoosuc Trail between Carlo and Goose Eye. |

 | Comments: |
It had been a while since I'd been on Goose Eye, and I happened to need these two sections of trail... and so it was. Everything in really great shape too! Saw a group of 7 or 8 boys coming out from a backpacking trip while I was ascending the road portion of Carlo Col Trail, a mother and daughter on the summit, and a couple ascending Goose Eye. Very quiet considering the fullness of some of the other trailheads I passed going to and from. It was pretty much a perfect day for this loop, though it could have been cooler. |
