Elephant Mountain Road was in OK shape. Might be hard with a low clearance vehicle.

Some boggy spots about half way up and part of the herd path is in a stream bed. All were manageable. |

What trail? Lots of blow downs. |

Not a great hike for pups with all the blow downs. |

We headed up the herd path but soon lost it. I would suggest heading up into the col between East and West Elephant (on the western side of it) and catching the herd path attacking West Elephant from the East. I went straight at the peak and ran into some significant spruce bands near the summit. Fun hike with John C. |
