Elephant Mountain Road was passable in my Subaru Outback all the way to the parking area. It was rocky in places, and a lower-clearance vehicle might have problems |

Elephant Mountain, West Peak
For fun(?) we whacked pretty much a straight-line compass bearing from the logging road to just below the summit. Found a couple of extra bands of spruce along the way in addition to the one near the summit.
