Trail had 3 sections that were steep and had it's share of muddy spots inbetween. I used a light pair of gloves on the boulder climb at the top. The views are well worth the climb. If you bring binoculars you can see the wing of a plane that crashed on Fort Mtn. over 40-yrs. ago. Lots of toads on the trail and song birds, moose poop and grouse. After the climb stayed at Kidney Pond cabin #1 is the best. |
