Comments
Comments: the first .5 to .75 miles of trail had patchy snow with long stretches of wet trail in between. beyond that there was continuous coverage of some type to the summit. this ranged from heavy wet snow to soft blue ice with water running over it. i put on snowshoes and used them up and down. once up on the ridge the snow depth was more significant and based on talking with other hikers the ridge trails still require snowshoes for reasonable travel in the soft snow.

after years of looking at this peak from other summits i finally got around to hiking it. nice walk up with great views of the white mountains and peaks to the south in maine and nh.
