 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
CVR was mislabled on the road sign as Carribou Pond Road. Once we figured that out it was muddy but we didn't have any problems until the last bridge in a 4-Runner. There was also a Honda Accord that made it to the parking area before the last bridge, apparently with no problems either. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Carrabassett River has a nice board chained down which made it easy on the way across along with some rock hopping. Comming back the water had risen up to the board and over the rocks from the rain. Still pretty easy if you dont mind wet feet but if you slip in it was moving pretty swiftly at that point. At that point we just stepped in boots and all for stability on the submerged rocks, we weren't getting any wetter than we already were. |

 | Comments: |
The trail was muddy and wet. Lots of large puddles going up and after the rains the trails were 1-2 inches of running water and deep puddles except fror the steeper part near the beginning. It looks like it is normally wet anyhow but it was extremely so today. Just got a few views of the cirque on the way up, looked cool and worth going back to see again. Other than that it was socked in with steady soaking rain all day. Too bad as it looked like a very scenic trail. |
