 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Believe it or not, even after doing this peak 200+ times, I missed the roadside parking area and had to turn around. They had cleared a large area of trees just off the road at the parking area, which made everything look so different. I'm hoping that this may end up being a dedicated parking lot for the Ledges Trail. One is definitely needed there. Road side area is still plowed. Room for about 6 vehicles at this point. |

 | Comments: |
A good packed base with some bare, flowing water sections down low. Fresh snow depths increase to about 3" over a packed trail. However, along the ridge there has been a significant icing event. All the trees were coated with about 1/2" of ice. And along with a fresh 3" of new snow, there is quite a bit of damage. Mostly drooping and broken tree limbs blocking the trail in many spots. Some bushwhacking needed to get around them. Slowed the pace a bit, but really pretty. |
