Acadia Park Loop Road closed due to snow/ice. Otter Cliff Road plowed all the way to Park Loop Road. Parked at parking area (Fabbri?) just prior to Park Loop Road. |

Back up plan for a sunrise hike, since the road closures made Cadillac a bit out of reach.
Park Loop Road was rather icy, but I was able to boot it with caution.
Gorham Mountain Trail had lots areas of black ice, exposed ledge, and snow. Microspikes would probably be okay, but I didn't put them on due to the ledge still exposed in places. Trail is also difficult to follow with snow on the ground, as it's blazed/marked for summer use. |
