 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking at the Brickett Place allows for a number of cars. There is a recommended fee for the spot which is set on an honor system. Bring singles or at least smaller bills so you can make the fee. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Crossing the Bickford Slides was easy enough...plenty of stones to step on but low enough to walk through right now. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trail is well cared for and clear most of the way (beautifully green and lush right now). At least one major blowdown that has cut the trail in two on the Bickford Trail. A sub trail has started to form and will get you around it without too much of a hassle. Other than that, you should expect to easily hop over or under a few trees that are across the path. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Our dog managed the trail without issue, even the steeper parts of the trail. Passed two smaller dogs along the way and they seemed to be doing just fine. |
|
 | Bugs: |
A few smaller black flies but there was a steady breeze which helped to keep them at bay most of the trip. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Found a beautiful trail with stunning green canopies of leaves. I highly recommend this hike...even if you only go as far as the slides; you won't be disappointed. |

 | Comments: |
Even with a few blowdowns, a bit of wet rock and some steeper portions in the upper trails, this is a very manageable hike for almost anyone, if you take your time (coming down). The upper loop trail (at the top) is a bit confusing and you have to pay close attention to the cairn and worn paths; but other than that, it was a fantastic and fun little hike. |
