Google Maps shows the logging road as Schoodic Beach Road, but it's signed as Donnell Pond Road. Bumpy, but doable for cars. |

Black flies were enforcing the no loitering ordinance. |

Trails were mostly dry and in good shape. Descended to Schoodic Beach (nice pond views), then ascended that side of the Schoodic Mountain Trail (very steep and rugged prior to junction with other branch of trail, then still a bit rugged, whereas the other branch was a bit more tame in the lower elevations).
Fantastic open summit that rivals many of the Acadia peaks in my opinion. Multiple nearby peaks caught my eye too, especially Black and Tunk. |
