Parking/Access Road Notes: FR 8 and FR 18 open. Cars with low clearance may want to watch out for some ruts on FR 8.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Maybe half a mile into the Albany Notch Trail, trail was submerged. Went left and crossed on beaver dam, then bushwhacked back to trail. Crossings on Albany Mountain Trail were minor and easily hopped.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Half a dozen blowdowns on the Albany Mountain Trail - all but one minor.

Bugs
Bugs: Black flies out in mass on Albany Notch Trail and first half of Albany Mountain Trail. Not as vexing on the ledgy summit (perhaps due to wind)

Comments
Comments: Albany Notch Trail was generally dry, with a few brief muddy areas. Albany Mountain Trail was also mostly dry with a few brief muddy areas. Followed cairns to true summit, then to the amazing west and south ledges.
