Parking lot was empty (loves spring hiking for this reason) about 450 feet down from trail head. |

Just need to work around it and watch your footing on the rocks. |

Could use a few more new markers some of the yellow blazes are hard to find and the trail was difficult to make in some places. |

The dingo made it fine...the pug needed a lift here and there. |

The black flies have hatched....didn't find any ticks but had on plenty of spray. Out of the woods, there was nothing around but a big angry bee. |

Getting to the trailhead is a hike in itself but the day turned out great. There were a few wet spots, snow in the trails near the top and there is a slight need for some fresh blazes in the woods but other than that, what an amazing spring hike (esp. this early in the season). Good to pack a walking pole to keep things steady and avoid any slips but a bit of slow and easy should keep you on your feet just fine. Took lots of pics but dont have them online to post here. Great views though!!!! |
