Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lot was fine, no issues and there were people parked on the side of the road since I suspect it was full earlier in the day.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A few water crossings easily hopped across except the second water crossing from the parking lot (at 0.1 miles). We hiked upstream to find a suitable place to cross, but on the way out we took our shoes off and forded the river to save time. The water was cold at knee deep at the deepest point, with the bottom slippery. Poles were very helpful the whole way, including hiking on the main trail to the summit.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few blowdowns that have been there awhile, but nothing major to go around.

Comments
Comments: Great hike, but the leaves on the trail are obscuring the rocks and roots hidden underneath, so you have to be careful where you step.

We left the parking lot at 2PM and summited at 4:45PM, taking our time most of the way. We left the summit after 'lunch' and arrived at the parking lot at 8PM due to the slower going due to loss of daylight and foot placement. My wife rolled her ankle 5 times on the way out. Mileage was 9.3 miles round trip. Great hike with nice views, but it was cold at the tower.
