Comments
Comments: Pressed for time to do anything big so I stayed closer to home and had a super view hike. I went CCW on this loop and I think that's a good way to go. Blueberry Ridge has some steep spots that I'd much rather go up than down. After topping out I did the little outlook loop, well worth it. The ridge up towards Speckled offers some open areas to get some great views west to the Baldfaces and Carter-Moriahs. Bickford Trail is a little overgrown just prior to the final stretch. Stellar views up top. Had lunch on the old fire tower concrete blocks. Took the detour on Bickford Slides on the way down. The trail is a bit hard to follow, but the pools and waterfalls are really, really nice. A worthy detour. Great day to be out.
