Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We didn't use our car on any the four days I hiked. The free Island Explorer shuttle buses go to all major trailheads and are great. I didn't hike a single loop, all traverses, and waited for my bus a total of about five minutes on the four days.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail
Recommended Equipment

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A number of innocuous crossings of Little Harbor Brook, which seemed low, on the Amphitheater Trail, which mostly follows it.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All fine. The Sargent East Cliffs Trail is a marvel of steep stonework, which I gather was recently rescued from decades pf neglect.

Comments
Comments: Sargent is the second highest point on the Island, but lacking an auto road, it is quite a different experince than Cadillac. The Jordan Cliffs Trail is another iron-rungs-and-handrails adrenalin special, just one notch below Beehive and two below the Precipice, because the tough part is short.
