Comments
Comments: The views from Old Blue Mtn summit were not outstanding. Scrub limited the views. The view to the southeast was of the nearby wind farm. There was also no view from the top of Mt Bemis. However, there was a great view of Upper Richardson Lake and Mooselookmeguntic Lake and the western Maine mountains from a small trailside clearing about .7 miles north of Mt Bemis main summit. There is a nice viewpoint at the side of the AT as it passes below Elephant Mtn. The viewpoint has a small wood bench with a view towards Saddleback, Sugarloaf, Abraham to the north and Jackson and Tumbledown to the southeast.
Many AT hikers going in both directions of whom most were amiable.
