Comments
Comments: Dry path most of the way to summit. A few points with small patches of snow up along the ridge but easily crossed There are several places where runoff goes down or across the trail - sometimes several inches deep but generally rocks to hop across (though shoes will get a little wet). Most water will be gone shortly as most snow is melted. At the top where the trail approaches the road, most people chose to continue up the road rather than the trail since there was farily deep snow on this section on the trail and you would need snowshoes not to posthole. There was snow on the road from this point to the summit, slushy but at most only a few inches deep and easily handled with just boots. Clear skies and warm temperatures in Acadia today - it was nice to hike in my summer boots and shorts and not having to carry all my winter gear!
