Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No significant water crossings
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in great shape. The trail work in recent years has greatly improved the footing of these trails. A couple of trail relocations avoids some steep rough footing areas that existed in the past. It appears that the trail sign at the junction of Bald Peak and Firewarden's Trails has been partially dismantled (vandalized?).
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: One dog at summit today. Easy for dogs although water sources are scarce.
Bugs
Bugs: Some pesky flies at lower elevations

Comments
Comments: Trails were in good condition. Some of the ledges on the Bald Peak Trail uphill from the junction with Sue's Way were a bit slippery but can be bypassed through the adjacent woods. Almost no standing water on the trails.
Tons of blueberries in the open ledge areas on the ridge from Bald Peak to the main summit and down to the ledges. Hard to progress swiftly through these areas as one stops to enjoy the wild blueberries.
Saw Pale Cordalis, Bluebell, Goldenrod, and Meadow Sweet. Great views down to Moose Pond and to the White Mountains.
