 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The little parking pull-over is 4.6 miles from Rte. 113, on the right. Easy to miss, as there is only a plasticized paper sign for "Horseshoe Pond Trail." |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
None. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The Trail follows a forest service road for a few 100 yards near the beginning, and where it leaves on the right, on a path through a meadow marked by a boulder, wasn't very clear. The result was a detour on the closed Horseshoe Loop to the shore of that buggy Pond. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
 | Bugs: |
Horrible at the Pond, on my detour. Breezes kept them away near the summit of Lords Hill. |

 | Comments: |
Horseshoe Pond Trail; Horseshoe Pond Loop (old section)
A beautiful, quiet trail in the middle of nowhere, with a poignant 1848 gravestone. |
