The half mile hike from route 113 to The Roost is a steady climb on a trail with generally good footing. Should be a fine inaugural hike especially for young children. Unfortunately I can't vouch for the good view from the ledge due to clouds. Decided to descend back to the northern terminus of the Roost Trail rather than continuing to the southern terminus due to the threat of bad weather in the area. |
