Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Caribou Valley Road in good shape to the steel bridge. we drove to the steel bridge, where a stake had been placed in the middle of the road, looks like someone does not want vehicles past there..it's only 10-15 minutes to the AT anyway..room for 6-10 vehicles there

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Standing/Running Water on Trail

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: had to croc/wade on the way in as the plank was turned turtle, but we were able to fix it up for the following hikers; all crossed on it ok as we did on the way out

Trail Maintenance Notes: maybe a half dozen obstacle blowdowns mainly on the section between Sugarloaf and Spaulding

weather turned out not a good as originally thought but we did have nice views from Sugarloaf though high wind on it...trails in good shape mostly, some wetness and mud...met a couple of VT hikers doing the section from Rt. 4 to Rt. 27 backpacking, a good adventure and nice hiking with Fiddlehead and aspiring HPQueen!!
