Out for a family hike with members from around the country - once we finally got some decent weather. An easy up and down. Numerous older blowdowns some of significant size - 2+ feet. Trail was a bit wet with some mud and little wet rock. Trail is very obvious but has a number of side trails branching off that can confuse - to get to the summit always take the left at all branches. Views from a ledge in about .7 miles of the lakes and limited views towards the presidentials off a side path - take the second right branch after the view ledge for views through the trees. Summit is a rock in woods about .3 miles past view ledges - trail does continue beyond and starts heading down - nothing of note beyond the summit and trail drops off mountain and heads away from trailhead. |
