Comments
Comments: A short loop up to the Roost, from the north trailhead. Views are probably better in the morning, as the sun is almost right in your face in the late afternoon. Great views "up" the Wild River Valley to the Wildcats, and a view somewhat "up" Evans Notch, but you have to work for it a bit. Took the south part of the loop, past the remains of an old mill on a tributary of Evans Brook. During my roadwalk, I saw an old stone foundation, that I've never seen in all my years of driving through the area. Great quick hike!
