Comments
Comments: Mount Will in Bethel - to get to trailhead head from Bethel - from junction of Rte 26 and 2 it is almost exactly 5 miles. It's located right across from the town transfer section.

A short little loop of just over 3 miles which did offer some challenges. took the loop up to south ledges side and down the north ledges side - given the ice I would recommend this way to tackle most of the ice ascending. Packed snow down low but you hit a lot of ice heading up to the south ledges becoming more prominent on the steeper section. Traction definitely helpful. There is a steep section after the south ledges getting up to the ridgeline that has some ice that you'll need to watch out for. Once on top a nice packed trail all the way down to the north ledges, there is one steep pitch heading off the lower north ledge that is a bit tricky then back to packed snow. Some nice views from the ledges across the Androscoggin Valley. Note: the trail does not cross the actual summit - you'll approach a snowmobile with a sign indicating Grey Memorial - if you head up the snowmobile trail you'll get to the summit in about .25 mile. If you head down the snowmobile trail beyond the summit to a signed junction there is a limited view towards Sunday River.
